Owner, Oli Tripp, began working in the security business 10 years ago. Oli started COMTECH in 2001. Since then, our staff has grown to include 5 additional fire & security design professionals and install technicians, each with 7-15+ years of experience in the industry. Two of our technicians are NICET Certified and our security consultant was a Billings police officer for many years before he retired to help design and sell systems for COMTECH.

UL Listed Alarm Monitoring Station requires:
All UL Listed alarm companies have been inspected by UL to ensure they meet UL’s standards for safety; including type of equipment, proper installation techniques, and proper response time. They also ensure the company conforms to the National Fire Alarm Code, NFPA 72. You would be surprised how many companies are not audited by a third party for compliance to national codes.A UL Listed central station is an alarm monitoring facility whose service meets UL Standards of Safety. UL requirements cover building structure, receiving and monitoring equipment, staffing, installation and ongoing service, and must be met at all times.
